Review of the mirror of the Musas. The art of the description in Bochetti’s Iliada and Odisea, Carla

Abstract

Precisely the purpose of the book is to overcome the critical look that it has repaired only in the decorative value of the description. Ecfrasis — as the old ones called to the description, understood in its broadest sense as the description of sites, landscapes or objects — is then the underlying concept of this study, which does not overlook other related topical issues, which are the subject of discussion of the oldest aesthetics (Platon, Aristotle, Longino), such as mimesis, phantasia and enargeia, among others. Document incorporated in 2019 under the “Job Experience Fellowship Programme” of the Library Professor Guillermo Obiols for Library students, based on a technical data capture process developed by IdIHCS staff.
