Where these data come from
Development of a methodology for studying social representations as components of organisational culture for the generation of healthy organisations

Abstract

Currently, there is no established techniques and shared paradigms and no effective technique has been developed within the administration (organisational analysis) for the study of organisational culture. It is believed that the data that this work can provide provide information that will be used for future research on the case studies generated and on the proposed relay and analysis methodology. The subject of the specific study is the social representation of the academic profession (as a job) of a group of teachers interviewed (29 subjects) of the FCEyS-UNMDP. The theories of social representation dimensions (Mora, 2002) and the Central Nucleo Theory (April 1976) were taken. From 29 structured interviews with academics from the Faculty, specific segmentation criteria are presented for the construction of the social representation of the academic profession (objective and subjective content) of the subjects involved and the proposal for a methodology for studying these social representations in the culture of any type of organisation, setting out objectives and methodology consisting of three main steps: Initial (characterisation of the organisation in its complexity), instruments (analysis of work as a psychosocial phenomenon in the event of renewal) and specific instruments (renewal of social representation of employees’ work).
