Creating a mise en scène of the border that divides Cyprus was the challenge set by the theatre company Astragali Teatro in May 2014. Since the building of the wall in 1974, it was the first time that Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot actors had performed theatre together on this island. The space chosen for this in situ creation was heterotopic (Foucault, 1981): built in order to divide, the wall actually became a uniting element during the play.
