The main objective of this research it´s begins a new “research work” to know the life and artistic works of the carvers in the providence of Badajoz during the Modern Age. The knowledge of biographical details and artistic works will enable to build the artistic period called Baroque. Sebastian Jimenez was one of the most prominent carver´s master in the providence of Badajoz of the 18th century, it doesn´t know anything of his life and his probably carver´s training in Seville. Besides, this research adds a new artistic work of Villafranca de los Barros to altarpiece´s catalogue.
