The article collects the various experiences that the University Communication and Extension Workshop has gone through. In this sense, the communication training space proposes to articulate in the pedagogical proposal: political knowledge, planning and management of communicational processes from a strategic-prospective perspective and social mobilization from communication. The theoretical-methodological perspective, but fundamentally political, from which the workshop is developed is linked to the thought of the CLACSO Group and ULEU. Critical extension. Theories and practices in Latin America and the Caribbean: “Critical extension has been consolidating as a process of dialogue of knowledge, critical, horizontal that links educators of various kinds (university, technical, leaders of movements and social organizations, etc.) with sectors popular, in the search and construction of a more just, supportive and equal society, where the processes of oppression-domination disappear and where anti-capitalist, feminist and de-colonial proposals are generated and strengthened ”. In short, this article seeks to contribute to the strengthening and consolidation of communication processes, to contribute to the integration processes of teaching, research and extension, to support and disseminate the work carried out on human rights, solidarity economy, food sovereignty and productive development that provide for joint work with society. It also aims to promote university participation in public policies (health, education, housing, social technology, environment); art, culture, communication and indigenous peoples, and disseminate scientific and technological research, including innovation, adaptation and technology transfer processes, in strategic areas.
