The translations on the slope and Judean-Greek of the ‘Canto del Mar Red’ (éx. (15) in the Pentateuco de Constantinopla (1547)

Abstract

The Song of the Red Sea (Exodus 15) is one of the most archaic poetries and most privileged of the biblical literature for its style and for its religious dephts. The present study is devoted to a critical edition of the "Red Sea Canticle" printed in the Pentateuch of Constantinople (1547) in its translation into Greek-Jewish and into Ladino. Each of the colums will be transcribed in Hebrew characters and transliterated into the Latin alphabet for the Ladino text and into the Greek alphabet for the Greek-Jewish. The edition will be accompanied by a critical apparatus of parallel texts of both translations (Hexaplar texts, glossaries and romance Bibles) This edition also includes introductions, linguistic and textual comments for each of these columns.
