Abstract
`titreb ATTACKS ON THE ADOLESCENT BODY `/titreb `alinea/b The body is central during adolescence and the ordalic scene (ordeal) can take the young person as far as flirting with death. The body is theatralised to reveal the history of traumatic traces and the remains of having experienced ambiguity. Analysis of these residue-traces highlights the stuff of a life/death phantasm that structures and organizes the subject’s psychic organisation. The nature of this phantasm is of essence primal and breaks down into two major forms : a phantasm of mono-engenderment and the phantasm of returning to the womb.
