Abstract
‘titrebSummary’/titrebThe paradoxical affinities that research has been able to point out between the epicurian philosophical ‘sect’ and the Christian sect in the first centuries of our era are recalled and then examined in detail in the first document attesting to a precise meeting between the two sects, the story of Actes des Apôtres, which shows Paul discussing with the picurians and the Athens Stoicians, and then gives us Paul’s speech before the Athens archopage. Paul appears to be a philosopher to set out his doctrine in terms to some extent compatible with a materialist or even polytheistic doctrine.
