The Tunisian revolution did indeed have deep rural areas as a starting point. It must be acknowledged that the city of Sidi Bouzid or Kasserine has only the name (in Sidi Bouzid, the city lacked a proper hotel until 3 or 4 years ago). Not to mention the agglomerations of Menzel Bouzaiène, Regueb or Meknassi, all of which are only small rural towns without all the socio-cultural fabric on which the city is founded, and Domi social relations...
