ALGO is an ANR programme (01 October 2009-31 March 2014) whose main objective is to conduct an in-depth investigation into the algorithmic characteristics of certain inferential patterns in pre-modern mathematics, in particular ancient Greek, but also Arabic, Latin American, babylonian, Chinese, Egyptian and Indian mathematics.
