Abstract
Summary of Mexico’s demographic dynamics requires the regular delimitation of its electoral territories, seeking population balance, but also the representation of indigenous groups, which constitute an important socio-cultural sector. This article outlines the methodology used to bring together the indigenous municipalities of the State of Guerrero for the district demarcation, which considers their form, the territorial distribution, the total population and the proportion of indigenous population, as well as the majority ethno-linguistic groups; it was designed to be applied to any federation entity. It seeks to preserve indigenous identity by representing relative majority parliamentarians in both federal and local electoral districts.
