Abstract
Our research is situated in the conceptual framework of institutional entrepreneurship and aims at understanding innovative change in institutional context of healthcare organizations. We studied the point of view of actors of change involved in a telemedicine project. This project offers innovative services between hospital and EHPADs (French nursing homes). We used a qualitative methodology by doing semi-structured interviews with the main promoters and key actors of the project. the actors involved are effective in stimulating innovative changes when these actors come together and act as collective institutional entrepreneurs. Our analysis has highlighted the strategies of change put forward by a collective of public healthcare institutional entrepreneurs, the construction of legitimacy of their project, and their uncommon attitude toward the temporality of innovation.
