She points out the need to consider the gender perspective when statutes are passed by Congress, in view of achieving fairness and equality between men and women. In addition, the essay discusses the main constitutional and international instruments intended to achieve gender equality. Moreover, the author analyzes the fundamental rights of young women, such as the right to education, the right to work and the right to health, as well as their constitutional, legal and international regulation. Finally, she stresses the fact that both formal and informal education plays a very important role in the improvement of the condition of women in Mexico.
