Abstract

presents for the first time the concept of a school critical to discrimination, which combines anti-discrimination, right-wing extremism prevention and inclusion/intercultural opening as a shared responsibility of school and partners from youth social work and civic education, focusing on fundamental considerations on a democratic school culture and quality standards developed from it that provide practical guidance to school areas. They are designed to help develop their own practice and reflect on the interaction between pedagogical attitudes, methods and necessary structures. This is a proposal for a comprehensive school development programme that offers a wide range of approaches in small steps and a reflection tool for pedagogical action in specific challenging situations.
