Abstract
Issue Summit: http://archive-edutice.ccsd.cnrs.fr/edutice-00000832 from 8 to 13 April 1986, an international conference was held in Ramat-Gan, Israel, on the problems of methods, design, development and evaluation of tutorials: ICCDE (International Conference on Courseware Design and Evaluation). The Conference week was followed by workshops on various topics from 14 to 16. The main topics discussed, as announced for the Conference, were, in summary, the following: design of tutorials — Assessment of didacticials — Integration of didacticials into teaching — Information technologies and their applications — Development of didacticials for specific disciplines — Integration of LOGO into teaching — Artificial Intelligence and its applications — Specialised education and computers. The organisation of the Conference obviously did not allow anyone to attend all the sessions. It is perhaps regrettable that teacher training has not been explicitly listed as one of the topics of the Conference — but it is true that this particularly important issue was, in one way or another, raised in different sessions. I can only report here on a number of communications and discussions, on some of the topics discussed during the sessions in which I have been able to participate.
