Emotional and social maturity of the dyslexia-dysorthographic child: Educational and clinical perspective

Abstract

`titrebAffective and social maturity of the dyslexicdysorthographic child, pedagogical and clinical point of view `/titreb This study, based on the approach to modes of expression and on the analysis of the contents of responses to the Rorschach test, aims to define which aspects of social and affective maturity are shown by dyslexicdysorthographic children. The analysis of the protocols shows: - a persistence of the G mode of apprehension with a higher percentage for children aged 7-8; - a fall in D responses compared to the sample of «normal» children - a very low number of Dd responses - a fall in D responses and an increase in Kan and Kob indicating an affective immaturity with human projection difficulties in the dysorthographic child. Broadly speaking, the analysis of the protocols shows that the dysorthographic child deals with the field of perception in the test in three ways: - aberrant decoding of the field of perception - inability to get away from the global perception of the images used in the test - fragmentation of the localisation and content of the test In short, the aim of this work is to determine the profile of dyslexic-dysorthographic children through their responses to the Rorschach test in a pedagogical and clinical framework.
