Abstract
RESUMEN Research aims to propose coordinates for an educational communication strategy aimed at increasing the perception of the risk of natural disasters in the district of Tambogrande-Piura-Peru; it is embedded in the emerging field of Education/Communication and builds on the methodology of educational communication. In carrying out the diagnosis, the assessments of civil defence workers and the district population were taken into account using empirical techniques such as: observation, questionnaire and semi-structured interview, which helped to describe and interpret how communication has an impact on the community being studied. The results make it possible to have an educational communication strategy to increase the perception of natural disaster risks in the district of Tambogrande (Piura-Peru).
