Abstract
This text develops a correspondence between three artistic forms: poetry, music and painting, with the aim of defining, in the work of Alceu Valença, possible relationships between these arts which, mirroring each other, exchange reflective properties. By using common resources — ‘pinta’ poetry with words, ‘speech’ painting by images and music by sounds — they can be given an aesthetic dialogue in order to clearly see the languages the artist chooses for their meaningful codes. Interaction between text, image and sound is not a recent study.
