The importance of transdiscipline in the performing arts: joint projects for the resolution of sensitive issues

Abstract

It is considered a responsibility of humanity to seek the resolution of global problems, even if this is in a small proportion, art has participated in multiple ways to generate social conscience. Although it is clear that it is not a function of art to solve social problems, its responsibility, to contribute socially to improve awareness and participate in their reflection. For this reason, artistic projects have been carried out from dance-theater, with which it seeks, create spaces for plural reflection, to transmit information that allows, face better way the new challenges that present themselves in this century to humanity. These projects arise from the choreographic creation, but they become transdisciplinary, from the insertion of different disciplines to integrate critical products, seeking to encourage community reflection, in the face of contemporary dilemmas emanating from techno-scientist development of human endeavor from the twentieth century. These projects focus on three specific problems; the preservation of endangered species, the contamination of the environment and domestic violence; all this without the pretense of assuming final or univocal solutions, conversely the proposals are based on consideration of contexts, of actors, of circumstances, where diverse events take place historically and projection to the resolution of complex problems.
