Abstract
Raquel Díaz Bustamante is anthropologue of the Pontificia University Javeriana de Bogotá. During her university course she took part in the emphasis on anthropology of health and this led her to become a master in Bioethics in the same institution. For several years he has worked as a teacher at Icesi University and has been able to investigate the subject of the body on issues relating to sexual reproductive health, organ and tissue donation and the use of anatomical parts in the development of medical technologies and biotechnological medicines. The issue of organ donation is one of which is not spoken every day, but it is as everyday as life itself, as it concerns our body, health and also death. In 2016, Law No 1805 of August 04 was published, the purpose of which is to extend the legal presumption of donation of human organs and tissues for transplantation and other therapeutic uses (Law 1805, 2016). A research project was carried out during the same year and was well favoured in an inter-faculty competition at Icesi University, bringing the faculties of law, social sciences and medicine closer together.
