Abstract
Comprender is an exercise of thought; thinking is to understand and generally understand the use of intellectual emotional devices as opposed to a given purpose. Let us briefly consider academic actors and communities of our approach to thinking and understanding, two concepts of recurrent use in the various fields of education, pedagogy, productivity and knowledge, among others. In this way, we try to bring to the discussions that draw attention to the need not to use these concepts of back to the development of cognitive sciences or to reduce them to purely cognitive operations and mechanisms. An extension of these reflections can be found in the book: Behavioural skills (Arboleda, 2011). It is desirable for academics of authors who have discussed in-depth understanding, in particular Dilthey, Husserl, Heidegger and Gadamer, to link their approaches and deliberations to these insights into thinking and understanding.
