Abstract
The communication products presented are part of the infodemia campaign: Key to cutting the chain of disinformation carried out by the Directorate for Artistic Production with the Territory of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the National University of Plata (UNLP). This content aims to promote reflection on infodemia, a phenomenon of overexploitation of information that has seen a marked increase during the Coronavirus pandemic. These are 12 videos involving teachers, students and non-teaching staff of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication, who made a number of recommendations to combat this scourge. These include the importance of not replicating information without checking the veracity of sources, avoiding reproducing content that could create fear in the population and the right to access accurate information to be protected from COVID-19. The materials also warn about the danger of re-sending audios from alleged health professionals, prioritising as a source of truthful information information from official national and international health bodies and, finally, recommending consultation of the Confiar platform, the website of the Spanish State News Agency, which makes it possible to check whether a news is false. In order to make the general public aware of the infodemic phenomenon, these audiovisual productions highlight the urgent need to cut off the circulation of rumours or fake news on social media; so that disinformation does not become the best ally of the Coronavirus. For better viewing, all videos have been gathered on a You Tube reproduction list that can be accessed by clicking on “External Link”. Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication
