Plutarque assumes that the Banquet occupies a special place in the whole of Platon’s work, that the practice of philosophy is not the same as elsewhere, that dialectic coercion gives way to persuasion, in a word that the latter is not a platonician dialogue like another (Table Propos, I, 1, 614c-d): [...] And [...] [...], [...] [...] [...] [...]. And/or to which the applicant is entitled
