Abstract
In the art of writing, cultures have always known the abstract beauty of plastic rhythms. The artist remains free to present his creativity. The letter, today, has a preponderant role in the field of graphic design, and is characterized as a source of inspiration for contemporary artists. This thesis presents the spelling of Punic letters to varying degrees. It is characterized by a living presence of the letter in plastic compositions. A lost writing whose codes we do not know, but which goes far beyond the readable. This writing itself carries messages that are not of the order of meaning. How far will these senses prompt the viewer to respond ? Can this lost writing come back to life and constitute a new means of communication through art ? This thesis will study and analyze the generalities of Punic writing and its presence in contemporary art. Metamorphosed, the letters take on limitless shapes without losing their aesthetic characteristics. New forms of manual expression are emerging, especially in the field of visual arts. It is a way of showing the beauty of the letter in the silence of the unspoken word, a way of materializing the mystery. The reader alone will decide the future of this writing based on his personal experience.
