Abstract
International audience This paper focus on two ethnographical fieldworks to explore the issue of knowledge and authority sharing considering the heritageization of architecture built with raw materials. Both — the revival of French rammed earth building cultures and the preservation of the Icelandic turf habitation — build between strong administrative institutions and parallel organizations, involved in non-institutional discourses and innovative practices, that set up individual or collective forms of activisms in search for recognition. Although they do not necessarily master the heritage discourses, they take a key role in the revitalization of heritage construction processes, by investing new places of transmission (Archi’matières, Fornverkaskólinn, Islenski Bærinn).
