Abstract
International audience The objective of this article is to explore the urban water network in Late Antique Africa, based on a type of water monument represented by monumental fountains. Indeed, the very presence of a fountain, which is a water distribution point, implies an operating water supply network. From archaeological and epigraphic sources, the study develops around the remodeling and restoration, abandonment and transformation of fountains in the Late Antique period, but also the funding of these interventions. It is also stressed that there is a lack of data on dating and that field investigations on this subject needs to keep going.
