Abstract
`titreb“Class War on the Web.” About an issue of Multitudes journal.`/titreb Cognitive capitalism is no longer synonym with communist emancipatory promises for the multitudes. On the contrary, according to certain neo-Marxists in the wake of the Frankfurt school, cognitive capitalism in fact renew forms of dominance and capitalist alienation through the following processes : merchant appropriation of free work, “protocolary” exploitation of cognitive workers by the “vectorialist class,” and “attentive” exploitation of individuals by “mental capitalism.” Are we then facing the mutation of dominance and the renewal of class wars on the Web ? This article proposes a synthetic review of an issue of Multitudes devoted to these issues.
