Abstract
Adolescents who are suffering psychically represent a challenge for our ways of working and oblige us to decompartmentalize our institutions. The partnership between the paediatric services and the Medico-Psychological Centers (cmp’s) becomes a necessary reality for the well-being of our patients. This involves uniting two modes of functioning and two temporalities. It is a unique encounter between two different cultures which complement and nourish each other. We will evoke the links that unite paediatrics and the cmp’s with reference to an adolescent medical unit: the adolescent crisis intake unit of the hospital of Neuilly-sur-Seine.
