Abstract
Hotels Management Information Systems (SIGH) are strategic systems for hotel chains, since the information they register is the source for all general statistics, such as: quality aspects, segmentation studies, satisfaction, etc. SIGH allow standardisation and automation of the main functions of the management and operation of a hotel. Several very flexible products produced using modern technologies have emerged in recent years, although the tendency in hotel chains is to have a corporate system, while independent and small hotels use small SIGH. This variety involves using methods that contribute to decision-making in selecting the software most appropriate to the specific conditions of the Hotel ‘Los Laureles’. To that end, the AHP (Analityc Hierarchy Process) method enables the relative importance of the criteria for the evaluation of software to be quantified and, finally, to estimate a relative weight of importance between them. This method is used in research to select the most appropriate system for managing the hotel within a free software quarry, concluding that Abanq-Os is the software that can be adapted to the conditions of the entity being studied.
