Comparing THE DYNAMICS OF anxiety AND Depression IN FEMALE AND MALE Patients WITH LOW BACK PAIN DURING THE PROCESS OF REHABILITATION

Abstract

Study was conducted to evaluate the dynamics of psycho-emotional state of out-patients with chronic low back pain during the process of rehabilitation. Anxiety and depression were evaluated by Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Psycho-emotional state of 325 patients (21% male and 79% female, average age - 52,8 years) was evaluated at the beginning and at the end of rehabilitation process. Each patient received 2 psychological consultations and 7 relaxation sessions during that period. Re-evaluated psycho-emotional state showed tendency to return to balance.
