Abstract
national audience What do you do for the planet? Do you take your bike to work? Do you recycleate fabrics to manufacture and possibly sell clothes? Have you chosen a sustainable sport in a club near you? Do you eat organic? Are you using social media to communicate your eco-actions to your neighbours or to the other end of the world? Imagine... What could a popular neighbourhood look like in 2050, if we do nothing to protect the environment or, conversely, if we do everything to preserve it? A multidisciplinary team investigated the population of one of these neighbourhoods, the Fontaine d’Ouche, in the near suburbs of an average city, Dijon, for two years between 2012 and 2014. This book summarises this research. In addition to a simple stock-taking, carried out by a team bringing together economists, geographers, sociologists and infocom specialists, this book also seeks to highlight a reflection on the environment, which now accompanies every study on regions and their future.
