Abstract
The aim of the work is to analyse the current state of the flow of audiovisual products in Latin America, with a focus on the film industry in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. A first section analyses the debate on the impact of audiovisual flows on the international scene from the 60s to the present day. Subsequently, Latin America has established audiovisual policies with a view to promoting and protecting its markets. Finally, a number of recommendations are made regarding ways to promote and ensure the exchange of audiovisual products that feed alternatives to Hollywood’s global dominance.
