Abstract
this very well presented and illustrated Atlas is based on a selection of data from the 1996 census. It presents population (demography, migration), education and culture, activities, housing, cities with an entire chapter on Tehran. The 1996 maps are published in front of those of 1986 copied directly from the Atlas of Iran published in 1998 by the recread GIP and the French Documentation by B. Hourcade, H. Mazurek, M.-H.
