Abstract
The present article is the fruit of the collective thoughts of a newly created sessad (Specialised Education and Home-based Care Service) team as recounted by its psychiatrist-psychoanalyst. Current developments in what is on offer to care for children in the medio-social field in the form of specialised education and home care services (sessad) has led this multidisciplinary team to devote thought (with the remit they have to address “minor behavioural disorders and disturbances and mild mental deficiency”) to the way the work of patient care can be devised. This reflection is focusing on the idea of a “team private space” allowing the situations brought in by the children and their families to be given attention and analysed.
