Abstract
Harassment at school affects many pupils and is a source of suffering that can have harmful consequences until adulthood. It is therefore important to know how to avoid the tragedies that may be caused by harassment. This book seeks to understand the local conditions that encourage the development of prevention projects. Based on the analysis of field experiences, it aims to provide benchmarks for the implementation of prevention actions in schools. To this end, this book presents: • an overview of the situation regarding the prevention of bullying in schools; • concrete examples of prevention projects; • an analysis of the favourable conditions for the implementation of these projects; • recommendations for a more effective prevention policy. This text is intended first and foremost for those involved in setting up and following up projects to prevent (cyber) bullying in schools: Directorates, educational teams, school psychologists, mediators, health professionals, parents’ associations, youth services, social workers, trainers, etc., and future professionals in these sectors. It will also be of interest to policymakers and anyone affected by the prevention of bullying in schools.
