Abstract
The years 1820-1825 are, for the decembrists, those of political maturity, which expresses itself in a bold speech deeply hostile to autocracy. Republican thinking lies in this categorical rejection of autocracy: any new political project calls for a radically opposed political concept to autocratic form. This conviction — one-sided by all the decembrists, whether they belong to the Société du Nord or the Société du Sud — takes various forms, etc.
