The significance of public space in the daily life of residents in two neighbourhoods of the urban periphery of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is examined. The aim is to determine, through case analysis, the impact of these relationship sites on the socio-spatial vulnerability of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods. To this end, qualitative techniques are used to study the patterns of visitation, as well as the activities carried out by neighbours in the selected public spaces and the feelings of belonging to them.
