Abstract
The question of funeral rituals, when it comes to body donation to science, is self-evident. This article analyses how the death of a body donor is perceived by their loved ones. The difficulties encountered in the days and weeks following the passing are multiple, and they are of an emotional, organizational, temporal, relational and ritual nature. The main focus of this paper is the experience of loved ones who have been able to have the defunct donor’s ashes returned to them.
