Abstract

The subject of this research is educational practice in child education. The problem of this search was how the principles from the perspective of releasing education are applied in three Mother Cases of the Equatorial Unit of the Prefecture of Boa Vista in Roraima. On the basis of this question, research has sought to identify the application of freirian releasing education in the educational activities of this same nucleus. It was therefore necessary to observe the teaching activities carried out with the children attending the nucleus, and then to describe the routines employed by the teachers. The participatory observation in the school cotidian helped to analyse the work of three teachers, where each of them was responsible for a Mother House. The content analysis technique was used to analyse the data. The freishing trend was perceived at several times when professors conducted their proposals for activities: to stimulate their curiosities and broaden their concepts of human diversity in favour of an equal and humanised society. The dialogue was present in all the proposed activities, how to speak and know how to listen, to build relationships that are biased in the respect and perception of children as subjects of knowledge in their training process. In this process, professors played the key role in mediating this construction, as the content brought about by them gave children a chance to live and become aware of their reality, thereby encouraging a social transformation in the construction of critical education, as argued by Paulo Freire.
