Critical reading in the classroom in relation to inferential and literal dimensions

Abstract

This article is a step forward in the research project aimed at identifying strategies at the three levels of reading, which enhance communication skills among students in Grade 8 of the Education Institutions: Rafael Gutiérrez Girardot de Sogamoso and Industrial Technician Marco Aurelio Bernal de Garagoa. The methodology is qualitative of the type of research action because it relates to the difficulty that students present at the time of analysing texts, and therefore the integration of techniques such as direct observation and implementation of workshops is envisaged. In accordance with the review of various bibliographic sources, valuable inputs are provided in relation to the standards and curriculum lines of the language area established by the NM, suggesting the importance of strengthening communication skills in order to generate ownership and knowledge when reading different texts. Progress is in progress and it is concluded that the selection of strategies cannot be separated from communication skills, as today it is the key point of educational practice for students to find a critical view literally and inferentially, as it is a livelihood and support for their social development.
