The article seeks to analyse the social position of language in Clarice Lispector’s Stour Stour narrative. To this end, the study focuses on examining the narrator from its use of metalworking as a resource. That, on the one hand, gives rise to a certain degree of problem in writing, and on the other, it is nevertheless used as a procedure for removing the other class and culture, in its possible form of fictional representation.
