Women’s participation in the Cordobazo. Teaching guidelines to rethink the gender-sensitive teaching of Argentinian history at medium level

Abstract

In this work we present teaching guidelines to address and understand the Cordobazo in the middle school, from a glance that includes women as actors. In this respect, an interpretative reading in terms of gender is further developed. Research and analysis on this historical process are important, but little is the presence in narratives and interpretations of women’s participation in events. As Ana Noguera points out, male figures predominate in describing the Cordobazo. Encouraging the restitution of the Cordobazo as a complex social, political and cultural process, thus regaining its true meaning as a fundamental fact in contemporary Argentinian history, also requires reflection on the stories and the protagonists of these stories, which circulate in history and school stories.
