In her taste for the political literature of the reign of Charles VI and in her familiarity with the manuscript sources, Nicole Pons was very early interested in the debates of this period. Numerous articles of hers, by their titles and key words, place her studies in the field of the history of these controversies: lampoons, controversies, polemicists, polemical cases, political debates… She was especially interested in the polemical dossiers which included texts. This focus indicates the path that subsequent research can take concerning the polemical files of the time of the Great Schism.
