Abstract

the first French edition of this book written by the historian Nicole Percheron appeared in 1983, published by CEMCA, Centro de Estudios Mexicanos y Centroamericanos (a French institution which has been devoted, since its inception in 1961, to social research in Mesoamerica and Central America). This work is an indispensable reference to the history of the villages originating in the Mexican basin, but not very widespread among the morants of the ‘villages of the Ajusco’.
