Abstract
PhD thesis in management sciences, led by Philippe ROBERT-DEMONTROND, Professor, University of Rennes 1, jury members: Luc BOYER, Professor, University of Paris IX; Dominique MARTIN, Professor, University of Rennes 1; Didier CAZAL, Professor, University of Lille I; Zahir YANAT, Professor HDR, Bordeaux Ecole de Management (BEM). The acedy is a bad mental attitude towards work. In the past, a loss of theologic faith, now feeling of incompleteness that treats motivation and involvement, reflects a loss of hope in a better working life. It suggests streen, a mixture of stress and spleen. We assume that it is transposable from its traditional environment (the monastery) to the organisation, which can be explained and remedied by a method close to coaching based on the analytical psychology of JUNG. Through case studies focusing on professional history, we show that she is active in the company, that she can disrupt the organisation of work, that she appears rather during ageing, that she is expected to arrive from quarantine. We also propose prevention through a HRM system including a specific analytical framework for the organisation in order to launch a 2th career.
