Abstract
In the following article we seek to investigate the conflict of interpretation arising from the actions and identities of the protesters who participated in six protest episodes by cutting the route between 1996 and 2002 in Argentina. The aim will be to expose, through various interviews with the protesters, the experiences and memories of each of the events. In turn, we examine the interpretations that arise from the confrontation with the speeches made by various sections of society, in particular the political leadership, and which were published in the written press. The intention will be to clarify what is reflected in meaningful constructions, both in those which establish different types of political and moral stigmatisation for demonstrators, and in those which defend and legitimise protest actions.
