Abstract
The educational community of Carlos M. Simmonds de Popayán needs to improve its knowledge of the concept of cultural inclusion and diversity and to take a responsible attitude towards the special educational requirements of students in training. To achieve this, it is essential to explore and apply practices based on recent pedagogical principles, formulated by authors such as Jerome Bruner, Rafael Flores, the brothers De Zubiría, Paulo Freire and others. Social and cultural understanding of educational communities and levels is supported by contemporary studies of socio-economic and political sciences. The method used is mixed as it complements ethnographic research with quantitative research, related to age, sex, race and disability groups. The purpose of this document is to strengthen the value of the inclusion of children with physical or mental or culturally diverse disabilities by overcoming harmful social aspects in relation to exclusion, strengthening education based on ethical values, for the benefit of learners and society, acknowledging that teachers providing public education, in the face of integration and diversity, require specific pedagogical preparation.
