Abstract
In 1908, Carlos Octavio Bunge published “La perfidia femenina”, a story included in his book Viaje a través de la estirpe. In the Social club (one of the most characteristic sociability scenarios of the oligarchy of the in between centuries), three men talk at a table. The privileged subject: women. Bunge retakes the causerie as literary species and narrates stories about cruel women and crashed marriages. The three academic and professor causeur embody the scientific-literary device and use it to “pathologize” the “deviated” or dissident feminine behavior. Hence, the subject of our work is to analyze the women representation in the causeries that is spread throughout Bunge´s story. The hypothesis of this presentation relays on the existence of a misogynist thesis that structures the tales agglutinating several negative attributes around women figure.
