Abstract
'pbThe legacy of René Diatkine has over time become a vast whole referring to a concept of psychiatric care in which humans still play a major role, and to a way of building the therapeutic relationship with a person rather than a sick person, without ever omitting the entourage. His work is also embraced by the need to preserve the complexity inherent in each life history and the concern to ensure efficient continuous training in each service for all those involved. ‘/PB’ pbFor the authors of this group, it is not only a question of testifying to the past or perpetuating the memory of the very rich years 1950 to 1980, during which René Diatkine participated in a profound change in the psychiatric landscape. Rather, it is a question of looking at today’s practices in the light of the past, with a view to changing them when this becomes necessary. Position here for dogmatism: it is an integrative model of different possible approaches in which psychanalysis continues to play an important role.
