Abstract
We saw in the first two parts of this work that the social, sexual, but also ‘sporting’ closure of alpinism had produced a unique, also ‘closed’, concept of Alpine excellence. Social closure ensured a bourgeois interpersonal and respect for the ideologies and ethos of the social elites; the sexual closure of a male interpersonal and the maintenance of male hegemony; the “sport” closure that only the “vouchers”, authors, etc.
